  15. <p>     DIED. Douglas Edwards, 73, pioneer anchorman-commentator of
  16. broadcast journalism; in Sarasota, Fla. A soft-spoken, earnest
  17. Oklahoman, Edwards worked at CBS as both a radio and television
  18. personality from 1942 until 1988. He joined Edward R. Murrow's
  19. London staff late in World War II and, in 1948, achieved
  20. stardom with a nightly broadcast called Douglas Edwards with
  21. the News.
